An opportunity has arisen for a Designer/Videographer to join our busy Marketing team in Oldham!

What does the role involve?

This role will be focused around digital content, with an emphasis on shooting and producing video, but will also entail general art-working and other graphic design duties as required. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing team to develop content, in line with our digital marketing strategy.

This will cover internal and external training videos, video blogging, animation, photography and photo-editing, motion graphics, digital artwork for social media, and preparing print-ready proofs of artwork.

What qualifications / experience will I need?

We’re not looking for someone with years of experience under their belt. We want someone with raw talent, passion and huge potential to learn and develop.

A strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is essential: we’re particularly looking for Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. The ability to develop conceptual creative work and critique the work of others is highly desired.

Though it is not a strict prerequisite, a degree in Video Production or a similar discipline would be a distinct advantage.

Applicants should have a portfolio of work to show, be it a website link, Behance profile, Vimeo/YouTube channel, or hard copy.

What kind of person would best suit the role?

We’re changing the way we do things. Video content is a key part of our marketing activities, and we see the successful applicant being someone who can take ownership of a project, as we’re looking for them to play an important role in our emerging strategy.

It is integral that they are emotionally intelligent, and confident taking constructive criticism.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are a confident and proactive team player with an ability to adapt well to tight deadlines. They will be the sort of person who seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen their knowledge base of their own accord.

A winning sense of humour would also serve you well!

How do I apply?

Send your CV, cover letter, and details of how to access your online portfolio to recruitment@webappuk.com

This is a great opportunity to join an innovative and vibrant tech company that prides itself on doing things a little differently.

Our 5 in 7 rota means that the successful candidate must be willing to occasionally work a short day on Saturdays and Sundays, though will be compensated with days off during the week to ensure only 5 days are worked during a 7-day week.
