Craig Dean joins Hack Oldham Board

We’re pleased to announce that as of March 2017, our Chief Executive Craig Dean has joined Hack Oldham as Chair of the Board of Directors.

Craig’s appointment is an indication of our strong relationship with the tech community, both locally in Oldham and Greater Manchester as a whole.

We’ve had a great relationship with Hack Oldham since their inception and are now looking to build on that as they establish themselves at the new premises on Yorkshire Street in Oldham town centre.

An industry is only as good as the community it is supported by, and Hack Oldham comprises of some of the hardest working people in the Greater Manchester tech community.

See below for a talk from founder Andy Powell at TEDxOldham: Hack Oldham has always been about passionate people doing what they love. We couldn’t think of a more appropriate organisation to work with.

We weigh all decisions against our company ethos; fostering a culture of learning, growth and innovation, with the end goal of being positively impactful towards our employees, customers and community.

We’re delivering code clubs, such as our weekly (free!) CoderDojo for young people, facilitating hackathons or maker days, delivering guest lectures in local institutions and so much more. By working closely with organisations like Hack Oldham, we can have even more of an impact on the learning lives of others when it comes to tech.

Going forward, we’re excited to see how our partnership with Hack Oldham develops. It’s sure to be great news for IT in Oldham!
