Looking for a Work Experience Placement?

One of the main reasons we take on around 15-20 young people a year is the positive impact that we have on the community. Young people that want relevant experience, get exposure in the industry and therefore can grown and work alongside talented developers.

Every year we offer work experience, summer internships and industrial placements. During these placements,  you can learn about the company as a whole, and gain knowledge through working with experienced developers.

We have students who want to gain knowledge in Programming, Networking, Marketing and Project Management. As long as you show an interest, are passionate, and are wanting to gain the important experience you will get out of working with us, then we’d love to have you!

One of our work experience students, Josh Kerr, came to us looking for a 1 week placement in the Marketing team. Interested in Graphic Design, Josh had lots of enthusiasm, put in the hard work, and ended up accepting a salaried Summer internship with us the following year, working as a Designer.

Overall I believe that Web Applications is a great company, which holds an amazing working environment. The staff are very helpful and look out for each other, they work together to create and complete magnificent projects.

Another one of our work experience students, Kyle Burns, came to Web Apps for a 2 week placement working with the Developers. Originally, Kyle wanted to gain some experience in Software Development/Solutions. In his 2 weeks, he learnt how to use Internet Information Systems, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL scripts and how to write ASP. Having impressed us with his dedication and hard work, Kyle was invited to an interview before being offered a role as a Junior Software Developer, which he accepted!

Web Applications is an amazing place, filled with fun people who love to help expand your knowledge. I don’t feel like I’m working but rather coming to a place I love and doing something I enjoy with people who never fail to make me smile. Always remember, don’t be the smartest guy in the room.
– Kyle Burns
