BBQ, Beers, and Inflatable Paraphernalia

Those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand.

We love our football here at Web Applications, and I’m not sure if you’ve picked up on it, but we love a bit of a party now and again too! Well, we took it upon ourselves to combine the two, which resulted in a BBQ next to a football stadium on a rooftop five-a-side pitch. We don’t do things by halves here at Windsor Works!

So, with just over a week until our 15th (!) birthday, a huge complement of Webbies rocked up to Hotel Football, in the shadow of Old Trafford. Naomi had procured some inflatable paraphernalia in honour of the football theme, and we spent about an hour working up an appetite kicking inflatable footballs around.
As the skyline lit up for the night, giving magnificent views of Salford Quays and the stadium, the retracting roof of the space closed, and the BBQ was served. The food on offer was an awesome spread with something for everyone. Personally, I was all about the char-grilled chicken pieces. The not-for-wimps card game Cards Against Humanity surfaced, of course, and there was also an impromptu crossbar challenge which pretty much descended into chaos:

Luckily, the balls weren’t regulation size or weight, or there would probably be a few bruised Webbies wandering around.

We’ve now got Christmas to look forward to – watch this space!
