Movember: The Fondest Farewell

So it goes

It’s finally December. That not only means we can talk about Christmas without feeling guilty, but also that it’s time to say goodbye to the hairy upper lips we’ve grown to know and love. Throughout the month of November, a team of ten Mo Bros and one Mo Sista have been sporting rather fetching moustaches in order to raise money for Movember charities.

The only way to end Movember is with a Mo Party. So on Friday we groomed our fine moustaches, had a bake sale and awarded some prizes for the best efforts. While Miss Movember was an uncontested award given to myself, Man of Movember was a lot tougher to call.

An email poll of all Webbies who’ve had the pleasure of witnessing the growth of some terrific ‘taches was conducted. The votes were very close, but once counted and verified the results were…

Third place – Sean McCann for his exceptional dedication despite his moustache refusing to grow.

Second place – Andy Foster for his seriously epic moustache.

Our winner, Man of Movember 2013 – Paul Astbury-Thomas! For his photos alone, he’s a worthy winner and he has a fabulous moustache too.

But everyone on Team Webbies deserve the highest of high fives for their devoting their faces to this great cause.

Gordon – we salute you

Ian – thank you for your trucker ‘tache contributions

Alan – loving the look

Akeel – you’re working it

Craig R – even your (cheating) beard looks great

Craig F – please keep it year round

Jack – our best individual fundraiser

Natalie – the most impressive moustache of all

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated. The total raised, including money from our Mo Party bake sale, is £600. A fan-‘tache-tic achievement, I’m sure you’ll agree!
