Half Monty Goes Full Frontal

I know it was you, Fredo.

Full Frontal is a JavaScript conference held in Brighton for front end developers. Every year we support the event and this year was no exception: we were Half Monty sponsors and provided cake pops for all!

While creating our bespoke systems, our Software Engineers work with technologies for the front end, back end and everything in between. And Full Frontal is always informative, educational and, above all, entertaining. So it’s not surprising that we always have lots of eager developers wishing to go. This year the lucky few were Development Group Manager, Jeff and Software Engineers, Andrew T, Simon and Jon.

Returning to the office on Monday, they couldn’t wait to tell us about some of the awesome talks and demonstrations. One of the talks that caught them was ‘Stunning Visuals with Maths and… No JavaScript?’ delivered by Ana Tudor. With her remarkable intelligence, I know what you’re thinking and no, she’s not related to our very own Technical Director, Lee Tudor. Regardless, her demonstration of what can be achieved using only maths and CSS was fascinating.

But the talk they were all raving about was Andrew Nesbitt’s ‘JavaScript in the Real World’. Though anything with JavaScript-controlled rabbit feeders and quadcopters was always going to capture our Webbies’ attention, Andrew’s session was really interesting.

Another fantastic event, Full Frontal did it once again. Not many details have emerged about the after party so it seems safe to say that was good fun too. See you next year Full Frontal!
