A guest post by work experience student, Chloe Booth:

Today I got asked to write a blog about Ben Lewis; having only known Ben for two days I realised I had a lot of information to find out. I asked Ben why he became a Webbie and his answer was quite simple really, he loved the atmosphere he felt when he came for an interview and could see himself going far in the company. So far, so good as Ben is celebrating his six month anniversary.

Ben’s role is a Software Engineer in which he gets involved with a lot of new development and is sometimes works on bug fixes. He always knew he wanted to be a Software Engineer, ever since he got his first computer for his ninth birthday. Ben graduated Aberystwyth University in July 2012 with a degree in Computer Science with Business Management and has never looked back.

Ben says one of the most enjoyable factors about his job is that he is still learning. He has recently passed the SQL 70-481 exam! Ben says that in the future he wants to remain at Web Apps and learn new technology programmes to become a better programmer.

Ben isn’t from Oldham, he lived in Shrewsbury for many years but moved to Manchester because of his friends. He’s now in the process of moving house, well flats, and is planning on moving into Manchester City Centre.

When I asked Ben what he did in his spare time he said he likes to go on the computer; Ben is so obsessed with computers that he goes on one all day at work  and when he gets home at night! Ben also likes the horror and comedy film genre and his favourite film is Django Unchained. I haven’t seen that one yet, but with Ben’s very exciting summary of the film I think he has sold it to me!

When I asked Ben what he would do if he won the lottery I received a very strange reply… Ben said he would build a massive fish tank! Full of fascinating and beautiful fish!
