Alongside Morson International and SIS, Web Applications UK were proud to sponsor Salford Business School’s Anniversary Ball, celebrating 25 years of business and management excellence. Held at the Lowry Hotel, a selection of local businesses, students and alumni met to reward and recognise the achievements of staff and students at Salford Business School.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a champagne reception and a chance to network with all of the attendees. After being seated, the night was introduced by Professor Martin Hall, Vice Chancellor of Salford University.

After a delicious three course meal and a speech from Amanda Broderick, Dean of Salford Business School, the awards ceremony began. A selection of awards were presented including The Student Achievement Award and The Student Engagement in Extra-Curricular Activities Award. Web Applications UK sponsored The Best Viral Campaign for Salford Business School Award, presented by Senior Lecturer, Tahir Rashid. To win this award, teams of postgraduate students from Salford Business School had to devise their own viral video, as a way of marketing the university through social media. Our award was given to the Zombie Gentlemen team for their tribute to Psy’s Gangnam Style – watch the video here.

After all of the awards were given out, it was time to party! We were entertained by Groovething, an excellent North West based band, singing a range of classics. The night was a huge success and an honour to be involved in such an empowering event. We have enjoyed working with the university and we are looking forward to supporting them over the coming years. We wish all of the final year and postgraduate students good luck in their final exams.
