A Kingfisher Art Attack!

Those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand.

Today was not your average Tuesday morning in the Web Applications UK office as we had some visitors from Kingfisher Community Special School. A group of seven children along with their teachers spent the morning doing artwork.

Passionate about education and development, Web Applications UK are always keen to get involved with schools in the local area. Kingfisher Community Special School is one that is particularly close to our hearts and we have supported them in the past. A group of Webbies recently attended their Annual Charity Ball which raised a whopping £6,275 towards their Outdoor Learning Environment developments.

The children were so excited to be in a new environment and we were more than happy to offer our facilities for their art class. Taking full advantage of our whiteboard walls, the children quickly got stuck in, drawing all over the walls of one of our meeting rooms.

After this, the mess arrived! Using coloured ice cubes on white sugar paper, we drew a selection images from their sensory walls at school including circles, squares and diamonds. After a quick pit stop for juice, we then went onto paint. Using traditional Web Applications UK colours, the children printed white designs onto a black board, they all looked great!

As a thank you for spending the morning at Windsor Works, Kingfisher Community Special School are kindly donating some of their artwork to hang in our meeting rooms. We will be sure to upload a picture as soon as they arrive!
