Clapton is god

In February 2012, we were proud to sponsor the first ever jQuery conference in Europe. Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback, the event is returning in 2013 and we’re thrilled to announce that we will once again be a key sponsor!

Held in Oxford’s largest city centre conference venue, The King’s Centre on Friday 19th April, this year’s event is set to be bigger and better than before. Outside of the main conference, there’s a pub quiz the night before and an after party. As a result of feedback from last year asking for more hands-on features, three in-depth workshops are also being delivered by jQuery experts on Thursday 18th April.

The conference itself will consist of a superb line up of ten speakers after an introduction from curator John Wards, Technical Director at White October. Inventor of JavaScript and co-founder of Mozilla, Brendan Eich will be starting the day followed by talks from the likes of the Executive Director of the jQuery Foundation, Richard Worth, Founder of Full Frontal, Remy Sharp and jQuery developers from Etsy, Blackberry and Google.

It’s all set to be a fantastic event and some of our team will be going down to grab a piece of the action. I suspect they will be taking branded freebies too so if you’re going, look out for the Web Applications UK team!
