As the students start back at Oldham Sixth Form College, they have been greeted with an abundance of Web Applications UK displays. With the aim of encouraging more young people to pursue a career in I.T., we welcome enquiries about work experience placements to email@example.com.
The display has been split into three sections to maximise exposure. The first is a huge poster in the I.T. department’s computer cluster area. Illustrating the empowerment that being able to code can bring, the tagline reads: Build Your Own Worlds – Choose a Career in I.T.
The ‘big bang’ is made up of code and if you look closely you can see the UK appearing as the world forms.
Section 2 and 3 of the display are in the Regional Science Centre building. The same ‘big bang’ design features on a display board by the entrance. Three banners have also been put up in the canteen area featuring some of our team with taglines such as “Is this the creator of the next Google?” – showing that in the I.T. industry, more than any other, ordinary people have achieved extraordinary things.
This project has been ongoing for a couple of months so it’s great to see it finally come together. In addition to our recent programming course for pupils at Waterhead Academy, we’re truly doing our bit to ensure the I.T. industry has a bright future in Oldham!
