Macmillan Coffee Morning: Let Them Eat Cake!

So it goes

This morning’s coffee morning at Web Applications, in aid of Macmillan cancer support, has got off to a flying start as employees (politely) stampede into the boardroom to fill their plates.

Several employees brought in cakes, biscuits, cookies, scones, tarts and even meringues in a dazzling array of culinary delights! Those less inclined to don a pinny are readily enjoying the fruits of their colleagues’ labour by splashing out on these wonderfully indulgent treats, safe in the knowledge that all of the proceeds from today’s coffee morning will be donated to Macmillan’s extremely worthy cause, more information on which can be found here.

Witness below the selection of treats on offer:

Hungry employees:

Sophia, Jeff and Sara taking their pick:

Dale “I’m more of a trifle man” Roberts wasted no time getting stuck in to those cup cakes:

A troop of us arrived in the boardroom before 10am to set up the table of treats, only to find Fahim, who had got a head start on the cake consumption. “I’ve not had anything!” he professed, a spray of crumbs emitting from his suspiciously stuffed mouth. Luckily, he could probably get away with anything. Here is Fahim, caught in the act:

A huge thanks to all of those employees who have donated their time and food, and also to those simulataneously consuming and contributing! We look forward to sending all proceeds from today on to MacMillan’s Cancer Support fund.
