We have several things to announce on the recruitment front, so we thought we’d roll them up into a blog post. Below is information on jobs at Web Applications UK, Web Applications US and for Recruitment Agencies.
We are in the middle of what is affectionately known as a Recruitment Push. Web Applications has been experiencing a period of amazing growth and we have been actively growing our team. We are looking for a number of Software Engineers and you can visit our recruitment page for details of what we are looking for.
As part of our recruitment push we are going to be attending Job Fairs. We have one scheduled for October, but much closer in time is the Manchester University Job fair June 15 which we will be attending. Web Applications UK employs graduates all the time, in line with our thinking that potential > experience. We regularly work with and visit the University of Salford and Manchester and may branch out to Huddersfield as well. To give an idea of our recruitment push we will have eight new starters in the next six weeks, of which three are industrial placements, one intern and four permanent full-time positions.
In addition to this we have published our terms for Recruitment Agencies which they can download off our website. We have great relationships with many recruitment agencies; however, we have recently noticed that some have misunderstood how much information it is acceptable to pass along to candidates. We would like to clear up any misunderstanding by posting our terms and conditions, how agencies can join our preferred supplier list. (Hint, it is not by calling individual staff regarding ‘a private matter’.) You can find this page on the website here.
And finally, the US. Some of you may have seen the News article about our recent foray into the States. We are now actively recruiting in the US for positions in Colorado Springs. Now, for recruitment agencies in the US our rules of engagement are going to be largely the same so it would be a good idea to familiarise yourselves with our terms too. Here is the page which outlines what we’re looking for and what the role entails. We are currently accepting CVs and résumés for positions in the US and will endeavour to start interviewing again in earnest in July.
