Looking Back on the BH&HPA Conference

So it goes

Last week Web Applications sent Nick and Cheryl down to London to attend the British Holiday & Home Parks Association 60th Anniversary Conference.  BH&HPA is really one of a kind and is the only organisation that specifically represents British Holiday travelling; so we were very excited to have the opportunity to attend.

This was the first year that Web Applications attended this conference so I was very excited to hear their responses to it.  The Exhibition had a beautiful home and was located in the QE II Conference Centre overlooking the Houses of Parliament.  There were about 30 stands featuring everything from financial services to special stones that allow easy water drainage at the holiday parks as well as one other software supplier.

At our stand Nick and Cheryl primarily featured Mercury, though the two were ready and willing to chat about other products as well.  There were about 500 attendees who were largely holiday park owners.  Hoseasons and Freshwater Beach dropped by which really gave us a boost.  We also had one famous visitor to the stand, Professor David Bellamy MBE. He attended to present awards to various Parks for their tenacity in adherence to environmental policies and dedication to conservation.  Web Applications can now say with conviction that Prof. David Bellamy MBE is in fact a very nice guy, quite gregarious with a touch of eccentricity; much as one would expect.

Next year we are hoping to get a better position within the exhibition to ensure attendees get full exposure to what we have to offer.  This was the first year Web Applications took part in the exhibition so for all intensive purposes the bar has been set and we are excited to adjust it even higher next year.
