Mayor opens Windsor Works

Those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand.

Throwing an open day is always a nerve racking affair, especially for a bunch of techies that would much rather be sat developing software, but we couldn’t let such a huge milestone pass without a little pomp and circumstance.

In the end, the whole thing went off far better than we ever hoped, with a fantastic number of the great and the good turning up to join us in celebrating our new offices; not least the Mayor of Oldham, Councilllor Jim McArdle, who had some really nice things to say about what he saw.  As well as unveiling the plaque we had made for the occasion, the Mayor, and youth Mayor, also tried their hand at a little coding, as we showed them Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, and created a custom Mayoral calculator application for them to take home.

With quite a number of champagne bottles, and some great food, a good time was had by all, and we’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for attending or sending their best wishes.  For those who couldn’t make it, we look forward to showing you around when you next visit!
