This morning, a range of Oldham based organisations met at North Chadderton School for a business breakfast to discuss a Sixth Form Careers Fair to be held on 2nd July 2013. The careers fair is aimed at students entering their second year of sixth form and thus assessing their future career opportunities. There is a great deal of apprehension amongst students during this time, deciding whether to go straight into full time employment or take the university route. Based around career advice and future opportunities, the careers fair will give students the opportunity to speak to employers and gain a

Endless Possibilities

Endless Possibilities

Saturday 9th March 2013 saw the 7th Annual Kingfisher Charity Ball held by The Kingfisher Community Special School. An iconic event in the school’s calendar, the ball aims to raise vital funds for the school alongside reflecting on the previous year. Held at The White Hart Inn, Lydgate, Web Applications UK went along to the event for the first time and we had a ball (if you’ll excuse the pun). We were joined by representatives from the school and various local businesses including Housing Units, The Fire Service, Greater Manchester Police Service and Royton Minibuses. Upon arrival, we were greeted

New car park is one step closer

New car park is one step closer

Since Web Applications UK relocated to our home, Windsor Works in 2009, our team has grown astronomically. Now 90 people strong and still recruiting, we have taken over the entire commercial space of Windsor Works, rather than the singular floor we initially inhabited. As the team grew, demand for car parking spaces naturally increased. Our green fenced car park started to fill up more and more each week. Of course, we anticipated this in advance and a plan was put into place to expand our car park. After purchasing Bridge House, a derelict building opposite, the plan was in motion.

FA Cup hero Smith earns Oldham a replay at Everton

After Oldham Athletic’s recent triumph of knocking Liverpool FC out of the FA Cup, they went on to face another Merseyside team, Everton FC. As usual, we like to do everything we can to support our local team, so this was an opportunity not to be missed. As official match sponsors for the game on Saturday, we were given a table in the Sponsorship Suite at Boundary Park. Naturally, many of the Webbies wanted to attend so it was only fair that we had a raffle style draw of the tickets. Chosen by our Chief Executive Craig, the lucky winners
