Acumen Websites

Today’s web-enabled travel companies are seeing up to 80% of their bookings coming from online sales. An effective website with real-time availability and booking is no longer a nicety, it’s a necessity!
When Web Applications took over the assets of the liquidated Kelworth Ltd., it was immediately apparent that the existing web solution had been partly responsible for the companies failure in the last two years of trading. The solution was poorly designed and implemented, and just didn’t work.
Thankfully, here at Web Applications, online booking and availability systems are our bread and butter, and we quickly set about making a replacement AcuWeb product that would not only allow reliable information to be retrieved directly from the Acumen System, but would also allow the same website to plugged into Mercury without modification.
For the first time Acumen customers have the ability to provide real-time availability and bookings online, on a professional robust platform, that can be configured to meet their exact needs. AcuWeb provides a powerful Web 2.0 enabled booking experience that is easy to use, and tested using all the commonly used browsers. But it’s not just easy for customers to use, it’s easy for non-technical users to administer, with state of the art image uploading, watermarking and handling built in, and in-place property editing and correcting. Everything in AcuWeb can be configured through a browser.
Behind AcuWeb sits a flexible XML API that allows web designers to fully integrate 3rd parties, or create custom web site solutions, with all the power and flexibility used by AcuWeb itself. The XML API, like AcuWeb can be driven by our new version of Accoman/Accowin – Acumen 9, or by our new cutting edge hosted reservations system – Mercury.
What that really means is customers who implement a web solution based on AcuWeb have the confidence to know their investment is safe as they migrate between platforms.
Finally, our clients can invest in a web solution they can rely on!
