The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support was on September 24, 2010. A number of Web Applications UK staff brought in sweets ranging from fudge brownies to breads to cupcakes…as you can see, we helped ourselves.

In the interest of raising as much money as we could, several members of staff noticed that the average price of the goodies seemed to slowly creep up during the day, all in the name of Cancer Support we say.

So, how much money did we raise? Web Applications UK staff managed to buy £53.60 worth of food. Web Applications UK has generously agreed to match that amount with its own donation, bringing the grand total to £107.20. We are honoured to have played a part in such a great national fundraising campaign, knowing that our £107.20 went towards the £5,618,590 the morning raised nationwide according to the Macmillan Cancer Support Website. This is a great event and we look forward to cheating on our diets even more next year!
