This week sees the Mobile World Congress take place in Barcelona.

As I’ve been working at Web Applications UK for one month I thought it was only right to give an insight in to my time here so far.

Today marks the end of my first month with Web Applications UK as a PR Assistant. Hopefully all the months to come will be as challenging and rewarding as this one!

Next Friday (2nd March) the 4th One Oldham Business Awards will take place at Queen Elizabeth Hall.

As PR Assistants we’re clearly not the most technically-minded people in the office. Being surrounded by Software Engineers it’s easy to get lost trying to keep up with conversations, sometimes quite literally in another language. In hopes of gaining knowledge and understanding a little more of what’s going on around us, Natalie Sneddon and I decided to attempt the basics of coding.

An update on the phase 2 expansion.

Last Friday saw the first ever jQuery conference held in Europe – at Saïd Business School in Oxford to be exact. Web Applications UK was a proud sponsor of this important event.

This week saw Gordon, Nick, Mark W. and I head down to Earl’s Court in London to represent Web Applications at the Travel Technology Europe exhibition.

All the travel industry greats got together on 25th January for the Globe Travel Awards 2012. Gordon, Nick, Kerry, Jeff and Craig Kennedy represented the Web Applications UK team and went down to Grosvenor House hotel in London’s Park Lane to join the celebrations.
