Getting Oldham’s Digital Perspective

This year our Chief Executive, Craig Dean, joined the Oldham Economy and Skills Partnership (OESP) alongside Jo Taylor of Capita Translation & Interpreting and Andy Powell of Hack Oldham. The OESP, convened by Oldham Council, aims to improve the relationship between policymakers and local businesses. Business leaders from each sector have been engaged to ensure that their unique concerns and perspectives are accurately represented. Craig, Jo and Andy have joined the OESP as representatives of the town’s digital community.

With high hopes for Manchester to become the UK’s leading digital city, it’s important that the local community takes advantage of this momentum and builds on Oldham’s own emerging digital success. To that end, we want to hear from you.

In order to faithfully represent Oldham’s digital scene, Craig, Jo and Andy have launched a questionnaire for local digital businesses of all sizes. The questions pertain to the opportunities and challenges faced by the tech sector in our town, and are intended to give those companies a chance to tell the OESP what their priorities should be.

The survey closes on the 15th September, so make sure that you have your say. It’s an exciting time for tech in the North West. Don’t miss out on your chance to shape its future.
