We’re extremely pleased to announce that our industrial placement programme has been awarded the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award, in recognition of our innovative and feedback-driven approach.
The prestigious hallmark, awarded by the PRTA committee in association with City & Guilds group, has been awarded to only 40 organisations across the nation, including BAE Systems, Waitrose, Barclays and the Co-Operative Group. It’s great to be among household names, as well as smaller businesses getting the recognition they deserve for investing in their people.
Our assessors really took the time to get to know our company and spent the day meeting employees, including past and present beneficiaries of our placement scheme. They said:
This successful SME has used a ‘grow its own’ approach to meet the demands of the business and create an empowered workforce. Recruiting 10-12 industrial placement students annually, the company provides a robust and relevant learning programme.
Our year-in-industry placement programme is well known in the North West tech community for its size and scope, although we’ve had placements from all over the country, such as our current student placement Arnold Anthonypillai, who has joined us from the University of Westminster with our July 2017 intake.
Some of our best and brightest have come through the programme, which sees us offer third-year scholarship funding to exceptional students as well as a full-time role after graduation.
We can’t wait for the awards ceremony at St. James’ Palace in November! Watch this space for updates on the award and the ceremony.
