We like to think of ourselves as trend-setters here at Windsor Works, and doing crazy things for charity is no exception. In the past we’ve had Office Olympic Games, Guess-What’s-in-the-Box, numerous Movembers, a Pyjama Party, a Penalty Shoot-out, and even Fodders in a onesie, for some reason. It will therefore come as no surprise to regular readers of this blog that we gleefully poured a couple of buckets of ice-cold water on our Chief Exec. Craig Dean last week!
Started in aid of the American-based ALS Association, many charities are now benefiting from the social media stunt, and though it’s easy to get a bit grumpy about internet fads from time-to-time, there isn’t much you can say about a fad that has raised more than £48 million in charity so far.
A rather large crowd of Webbies turned out to watch, as Simon and Tim (who had paid for the privilege) prepared to launch two hefty buckets of ice-cold water over Craig’s head. See below.
We raised £100 in total for the ALS association! Thumbs up for charity, Webbies!
