We’re always keen to raise money for worthwhile charities at Web Applications UK. Especially if there’s a chance to bake and eat cake and dress up. Ramp up the Red for British Heart Foundation on Friday 7th February was no different.
On Friday morning we all got our best red threads on, and dug out those cake boxes and biscuit tins to transport our home-baked treats ready for our first charity bake sale of 2014. As if we managed to last this long without cake! Viv pulled out the stops again with a super tall delicious red velvet cake, and peanut butter brownies and crème egg brownies. Sugar high here we come! We also had chocolate dipped strawberries, rocky road and berries for red smoothies (just a small touch of healthy).
The British Heart Foundation is the UK’s No.1 Heart charity, researching all aspects of heart conditions from babies born with heart defects to the many thousands of people living with heart disease and failure. Coronary heart disease is the UKs single biggest killer, but BHFs pioneering research has helped to transform the lives of people with heart and circulatory conditions. We’re still totting up but it looks like we’ll break the £100 barrier for this life-saving charity.
Thanks again Webbies! See you next time for more sugar coated fundraising!
