Introducing our .NET training series

Those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand.

Over the last few weeks, we have been hosting lunchtime training sessions in the state-of-the-art facilities at The Centre of Excellence. Chief Executive, Craig has been covering .NET fundamentals while Technical Director, Lee has been sharing his tips and experiences with SQL.

Knowledge sharing is always at the heart of what we do – be it through buddy programming, writing wikis or holding training sessions. As Craig and Lee lead the Web Applications UK team through the development of new software, it is important that knowledge of any new system and the technologies it is based on is passed down throughout the company.

These training sessions have been filmed for new Webbies and those who missed out. Heavily cut videos containing highlights are being made publicly available on YouTube to show you the kinds of things covered in the sessions.

The first instalment is a .NET Fundamentals session by Craig Dean. Introducing Visual Studio and LINQPad, Craig takes viewers through various steps that need to be taken before writing your first line of code. Aimed at skilled developers, this series has been designed to ensure our Software Engineers are equipped with all the knowledge they need to remain proficient with the latest technologies.

Further sessions will be released on YouTube over the coming weeks and months so subscribe to our YouTube channel and/or our RSS feed to take advantage of all the informative videos being made available.
