If you’re reading this blog on our website (rather than an RSS feed), you can see the astounding difference for yourself. The design is elegant, sleek and modern with the look and feel of Web Applications UK. Not only does it look great, but it is dynamic and far simpler to navigate. It was designed and developed entirely in house so it’s great to see all our hard work pay off.
The home page now features a large scrolling banner showcasing the best bits – at the moment this includes Traveller 4.0 and Hack Manchester. On the navigation bar you can click on the drop down menus for all the relevant information about our products including Traveller, Babel and Brease. This is also where you can find out about Web Applications UK, apply for job vacancies and find ways to get in contact.
Our website is often visited by prospective Webbies so we have integrated our Vacancies section into the home page. A live Twitter feed also features on the right hand side, keeping you up to date with our Webbie community and the latest technology news. Links to our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles mean that our website just got a lot more social.
Blogs and news articles are given abundant space on the new home page with the most recent blogs and news articles displaying alongside randomly selected posts. A link to Craig Dean’s blog site thargy.com is also on our home page – featuring articles about management and programming from our Chief Executive.
A special mention has to be given to Ian Munro, the developer responsible for the delivery of this fine specimen of a website. Working long hours, Ian has put a lot of effort in to get the website ready to go live. Ian’s responsive design means that the website will maintain its beauty no matter what screen/device is used to access it. Try it for yourself!
