An update on the fast-paced progress of phase 2.
Ignoring the irritated looks on the workmen’s faces, we took another peak at how the expansion is coming along. When we last checked on the progress of phase 2, the huge room was but an empty shell while the workmen began laying the pedestals in preparation for the floor to be put in place. A raised access floor has now been fitted and it’s really starting to feel like an actual room.
As you can see, there is a toilet randomly placed in the middle of the room. Hopefully that won’t be a permanent feature in the middle of the office or it will be more enclosed if it is.
The computer flooring is being put in place to create an elevated structural floor above the concrete ground to act as a hidden passage for cables to pass underneath. It is designed to be easily accessible in case any work needs doing with any of the cables. The flooring is not quite complete but we’re almost there.
Judging from the banging and drilling noises we can hear from this side, the workmen are working tirelessly to get it finished. We are hoping to have the room habitable by the end of February. With more new starters at Web Apps next week, the space will be more than useful.
