Red Nose Day is Friday March 18 and is one of the most amusing charity events ever. The first official Red Nose Day was in 1988 as a spinoff/charity event for Comic Relief which started in 1985. This charity provides support for all four nations in the UK as well as in Africa.

Over the years a number of ‘stunts’ have gone hand in hand with Red Nose Day. Cliff Richards released the first Comic Relief single (It reached #1 in the charts, do you remember what it was called?) and since then 21 singles have followed, 12 of which have become Number 1s.

We are coming up with some fun ways to raise money. Baking is generally quite central to our strategy so there definitely will be plenty of treats available throughout the day. We’ve had some ingenious ideas pop up for how to raise money, but we are still taking new ideas into consideration. If you have any ideas of your own, feel free to add them to the comments section below. Have a happy Red Nose Day.
