Clapton is god

This Friday Web Applications is very proud to announce that a number of its members will be attending the Mayor’s Emerald Ball in Oldham.

The evening will feature food, drink and a variety of entertainment including a Ceilidh Band, a local rock band ‘The Intervention’ and a DJ. This event will be one of Mayor Jim McArdle’s Charity Balls and all the proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Mayor’s Supported Charities, Oldham Young Carers and Dr. Kershaw’s Hospice; he has carefully chosen these charities because they offer help to local children.

The Emerald Ball will take place March 12, 2010 at Queen Elizabeth’s Hall in Oldham, beginning at 6:30pm with a champagne reception. From there the guests will find their tables and sit down to a three-course dinner. With a Ceilidh band, a rock band and a DJ there is sure to be something for everyone when it comes to entertainment throughout the night. Web Applications is very excited that we will be represented by six of our members and accompanied by ten partners. We do enjoy our black-tie events.

Charity Balls are a great way to get involved in the local community and make a difference. We are going to know Queen Elizabeth Hall like the back of our hands soon, in addition to this event we will also be attending the Business of the Year awards in that same venue in just a few weeks – so keep an eye out for more information about that. If you are part of our entourage (and you know who you are) we will see you Friday!

If you wish to attend and are not currently signed-up, tickets may still be available by calling the Mayor’s Office at 0161 770 3927 or sending an email to
